A ‘donor’ chassis was used to pattern from. A few of the steel pieces were reused, otherwise everything was fabricated new.

6061 T4 and T6 aluminum alloy sheet was used in the fabrication. T4 for the panels that require bending and T6 for panels that remain flat. All panels were joined with either solid hard rivets or cherry ‘pop’ rivets, and glued with Hysol brand epoxy.

Several updates were included. A steel front rocker box, (since these have a habit of developing cracks), an internal tub brace located below the front rocker box, ‘tall boy’ roll bar and additional side intrusion bars were added.

This car is currently under going a complete restoration, when it finally does see the track it will be sure to draw attention!
